EMQ CHILDREN AND FAMILY SERVICES PROMOTES EXECUTIVES TO REFLECT AGENCY GROWTH

San Jose, Calif., July 23, 2007

EMQ Children & Family Services announced today that division directors Craig Wolfe and Lyn Far have been promoted to Regional Vice Presidents. In addition, Roberto Favela has been promoted to Vice President of Administration for EMQ's state-wide organization.

EMQ serves more than 6,600 children and family members a year. The nonprofit organization provides services and help for children who have been or are at risk of being removed from their family because of serious behavioral issues-such as thoughts of suicide, severe depression or addiction-and helps them remain safe in their homes, schools and communities. The agency currently services 20 counties in California including Santa Clara County, Sacramento County, Los Angeles County and San Bernardino County.

"As EMQ continues to expand our commitment to support vulnerable children and their families statewide, our leadership team has evolved as well," said Darrell Evora, Chief Operating Officer of EMQ. "Craig, Lyn and Roberto's dedication, thought leadership and talents have enabled EMQ to continue to create and provide the best possible services that help children and families stay healthy and safe in their homes and communities."

Craig Wolfe most recently served as Division Director of EMQ's Santa Clara County Services department. He joined EMQ in 1997 as Clinical Director after spending over a decade at the Santa Clara County Department of Mental Health where he was instrumental in the Phase II Medi-Cal Consolidation implementation and the development of the ACCESS Program for the Department of Mental Health. During his tenure with Santa Clara County, Craig was in private practice for 15 years since his licensure in 1987 with specialties in sexual abuse treatment of males, and family therapy for clients with eating disorders. Craig holds bachelor's degree in psychology and sociology from the University of Michigan and a master's degree in clinical psychology from San Jose State University. He is also a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist.

Lyn Farr brings over 30 years of experience in social welfare to her new role as Regional Vice President. Previously, Lyn was Regional Director of Services for Sacramento County and joined EMQ in 1998 to bring Wraparound services to Sacramento County. Farr has worked with the Sacramento County Children's System of Care (child welfare, mental health and juvenile probation) to change social work and placement practices for youth with complex problems. This work was one of nine models for Youth Permanency in the United States recognized by The California Permanency for Youth Project and the Stuart Foundation in 2004. Lyn earned her bachelor's and master's degrees in social work from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and is a California Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She was the recipient of the "Provider of the Year" Award in 1997 from Protection and Advocacy, Inc.

Roberto Favela has served EMQ for 30 years and most recently served as Director of Foster Family Agency for EMQ's state-wide organization and oversaw shared resources for the entire organization. The agency's shared resources include Information Technology, training and education, outcomes and evaluation, and corporate compliance. As Vice President of Administration, he will continue to develop the functions efficiencies and refine agency-wide procedures through shared resources. He began his career as a social worker for EMQ's Day Treatment program and later was promoted to Director of day treatment and then residential treatment programs. With expertise and insights into both day and residential treatment programs, Roberto was promoted to head EMQ's Clinical Services before leading the organization's Foster Family Agency and shared resources as Director. Roberto earned his bachelor's degree in sociology from Northern Arizona University and a master's degree in social work from San Jose State University. He has been a Licensed Clinical Social Worker for over 25 years.
