San Jose, Calif., May 24, 2006 – EMQ Children and Family Services, a nonprofit agency dedicated to transforming the lives of children with serious emotional difficulties, today announced that Ellen Ammerman has joined EMQ as its Chief Financial Officer. She brings over 30 years experience to the organization, and is responsible for all financial aspects of the $50 million nonprofit organization

"We are extremely fortunate to have Ellen on board to help guide EMQ's growth," said Darrell Evora, President and Chief Operating Officer at EMQ Children and Family Services. "Ellen's record of success along with her level of passion and commitment to the children and families we serve will help EMQ to continue its mission of keeping children with serious behavioral challenges safe with loving families."

Prior to joining Community Foundation Silicon Valley, she worked at San Jose Jet Center as the senior financial leader reporting to the President, where she increased gross margins and improved the accuracy and quality of reporting. Ammerman spent the first 17 years of her successful career in public accounting.

"I am excited that my expertise can be used to help those in need and carry on EMQ's ongoing mission to aid children and families," said Ammerman.
